WEEK 6 | Interactive Prototype

To achieve an interactive prototype, constant review and refine are required. In this week contact, we are asked to think what is complex, unfamiliar, new and changed in our concept.

I think the interaction is not that complex. The prototype only required users to click and touch, which is not a lot. If hand gesture can be implement, the complexity of the interaction will increase. For new function, the hybrid function of weather reminding and storing essentials are pretty innovative. It combines two major needs when people leave the house in one device. This is also the unfamiliar part. Users may also find the 2-in-1 feature unfamiliar and confuse about how the essentials will store and move out. The concept originally was an umbrella storage and drying, and raining reminder device, but I decided to change it into a comprehensive weather reminder, plus storage for different weather conditions.

After thinking about the UI design, we are asked to build a story and scenario for the prototype.

For the UX, the scenario is locate in a house, a young working lady live by herself. As she always in a hurry to work, to meet clients...She often forget or no time to check the weather. She need a smart device to remind her the weather and stuffs she need to bring on that day. The device is able to help her to save time and leave the house smoothly.
